Experience working on at Ruby on Rails projects
● 2+ years experience with Ruby (including best abilities with Ruby on Rails)
● OO design skills, JavaScript, HTML/CSS experience, MySQL, Redis, Memcached and other datastores
● Very comfortable with Git and Github
● Startup mentality
● Passionate about development including having your own pet projects
1. Develop web applications for clients within the Ruby on Rails web application framework.
2. Participate in other internal company projects in support of client needs.
3. Support existing Ruby on Rails web applications
4. Develop new functionality within existing Ruby on Rails web applications
5. Develop new Ruby on Rails web applications
6. Work closely with Product Owners, QA, Design and other teams in an agile environment to collaborate on and influence new products.
7. Should be able independently review, compare and decide the use of gems whenever required
8. Lead by example both technically and operationally; take part in the delivery process.
Skills
Excellent in of Ruby 1.9x and Ruby2
Excellent knowledge of Rails 3.2 & Rails 4
Excellent in JavaScript, jQuery
Good knowledge Ngix, Apache, Passenger, Capistrano
Good knowledge writing test cases with RSpec, Cucumber
Good in HTML5, CSS3 and Responsive web development.
Good understanding of jQuery, Bootstrap
Good understanding of GitHUB, SVN
Added advantage – MongoDB, DynamoDB, AngularJS, Backbone.js Mustache templates, MemCache
Requirements

2-3 years general programming experience
Experience in web development using the Ruby on Rails web application framework
Best understanding of the philosophy and design of Ruby on Rails
Desktop publishing skills: HTML, xHTML, CSS
BS in a computer science-related discipline
Proficiency in English strongly preferred
Proactive and resourceful person who achieves with minimal oversight
Team player with the ability and desire to become an integral part of a fast-paced team
